Finally Sunday, the first week was “quite” busy; we had lecture, workshop, group discussion all (or almost all) of them really interesting…so interesting that we could even skip our long lunch break!
average time,15 minutes…average place an imbiss close to the Boku (University of natural resources); with all the money he gained I guess the owner went on vacation after this summer school…
so, today appointment for Sunday,11 in front of the St. Stephan dome, the very centre of Vienna…that means SLEEP!!!!
Saturday night most of the group went home “quite late” after an incredible concert in Burgtheater
Even if it’s called “summer school” it’s possible to have lot of fun. so, today appointment for Sunday,11 in front of the St. Stephan dome, the very centre of Vienna…that means SLEEP!!!!
So, as soon as everyone arrived in the place the tour started, and we could enjoy a very interesting explanation of the most important sight seen and monuments of the “erste Bezirk” or die innere stadt, with a little bit of Vienna’s history; the foundation of a Roman encampment, the medieval age and the Turks, the Viennas life of Mozart a little gossip about the Asburg dynasty (did someone of you know that in the end of her life Maria Teresa was something like 130 kilos and was unable to climb up the stairs?I didn’t)
Of course during the whole tour we had a perfect summer Viennese wheatear!
Something that’s call autumn in most of European country!!! J
(the guide was wearing a winter jacket!)
Well end of the tour, time to eat!!!here the group split it up, someone of us went in a restaurant someone else went back home.
Nice lunch, almost 4 pm with rice, cicken and the Chinese version of uncle lee….
After the lunch time to relax, to do our own business or start thinking about the final project and pick up some information.
And, in the end, it’s night again and Vienna is full of nice pub were to go, drink something and chat a bit about everything, that’s call GROUP BUILDING!!!!
ps if you think about a beer to choose, of course Ottakringer, produced and bottled in Vienna…no expensive logistic cost or Co2 emission….MORE SOSTEINABLE! ;)
