The 2012 international Planet Under Pressure conference will provide a comprehensive update of the pressure planet Earth is now under. The conference will discuss solutions at all scales to move societies on to a sustainable pathway. It will provide scientific leadership towards the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development – Rio+20.
To achieve the conference aims, global sustainability scientists must work in partnership with decision-makers in policy, development, business and the wider non-government sector to manage the pressures and move societies to a sustainable pathway.

This conference will be a full day event on March 19, 2012 on GREEN BUILDING INNOVATION. Over 100 participants from Canada and Europe are expected to attend this event.
The objectives of the 2nd Canada-Europe Green Building Forum 2012 are:

The longer we wait for action to reduce emissions the less options we will have, the more it will cost, the less likely we are to be able to stay below global warming of 2 degrees C and the bigger threat to the world’s most vulnerable. To avoid expensive and disruptive rates of emissions reductions in coming decades countries must increase their ambition now.
